Imperial Engineering were employed by TMT Commercial Contractors to deliver the complete electrical installation design and build package for the new Rainbow Hub development in Mawdesley, Lancashire.
The new purpose-built facility provides vital support and rehabilitation services for children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities. The project required careful planning and execution to meet both the functional and aesthetic demands of a modern, multi-purpose education and therapy environment.
Imperial Engineering’s scope included LV distribution, lighting and emergency lighting, small power, external lighting, fire and security systems, and structured data wiring, ensuring full compliance with current standards while maintaining the calm and welcoming environment envisioned by the client.

Challenge
As with all community and educational projects, the key challenge was coordinating a complex installation programme within tight time and budget constraints ensuring the planned opening date was achieved without compromise all whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
Working collaboratively with TMT and other specialist trades, Imperial Engineering ensured that containment routes, lighting layouts, and life-safety systems were installed efficiently and seamlessly integrated into the architectural design.
Our team’s attention to detail and proactive approach helped achieve a smooth handover and a bright, welcoming environment that truly reflects the inspiring mission of Rainbow Hub.
